FAQ 1. Q. If there is a small current
reading showing on my meter when no loads are switched on, what do I do?
A. Go to set up menu and re-zero
shunt calibration. If this does not fix problem ensure all loads are
switched off and retry.
2. Q. Why is my amp hour reading
always lower than I would expect.
A. Can occur for the following
reasons;

right back indicating batteries are full. However my amp hour reading
is not showing full.
A. Check reset amps setting and
set to 4% of battery capacity (eg 220hrs = 9 amps.)

period of time my amp hours reset to full.

5. Q. I have an auxiliary charging
source connected (eg. Solar panel or battery charger ) However it does
not register on my ammeter.
A. Charging source is connected to
wrong side of shunt.
6. Q. When starting my engine, amp meter shows discharge.
A. Shunt is mounted in wrong
position please refer wiring instructions.
7. Q. Meter shows discharge but no
charge when charging.
A. Shunt is mounted in wrong
position please refer wiring instructions.
8. Q. Can I mount shunt in positive
line.
A. No it must go in negative line
as per instructions.
9. Q. Meter seems unstable in amps
reading when engine is running.
A. Ensure you have used a screened
twisted pair cable from shunt as per instructions. Otherwise
interference can occur.
10. Q. Meter seems erratic when a
battery charger is connected.
A. Can occur for the following
reasons;
11. Q. Can I monitor 12 and 24 volt
systems.
A. Yes on volts only.
12. Q. Meter seems completely
inaccurate after set up.
A. Settings may have been loaded
incorrectly. Carry out factory reset in setup mode.
